My guest this morning was the energetic Lucinda Whitacre of Great Life by Lucinda based in Depoe Bay.  Lucinda produces and sells veggie burger mixes, creamers, cream cheeses, butters and (coming soon) salad dressings.  All of her products are made with real food and ingredients you (and your grandmother) can pronounce.  Lucinda is also getting ready to open a farm store at her location in Depoe Bay where she will be selling products from the local farmers’ markets in addition to here own.  Listen to what’s coming soon……..

My guest this week was Michelle Becker of 4 Goats Farm in Toledo.  Michelle and Mike raise chickens and sell delicious and nutritious eggs. They are certified egg handlers which means they have taken the extra step to provide the best product to their clients.  And the good news is that they can sell direct to the consumer and to commercial clients.  I have personally used the eggs for various dishes and can guarantee their quality.  Listen to Michelle talk about her eggs and her chickens…..you’ll want some!

My guest today was Chloe Rico of Ten Rivers Food Web.  We talked about the transition from the Newport Farmers’ Market to the Lincoln County Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market of which the first day was this past Saturday: November 3rd.  The market is located in the main exhibit hall at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds behind Newport High School and is open every Saturday through March from 10 AM to 2 PM.  We also discussed the Fill your Pantry event that will be held at the market this upcoming Saturday.
